I don't know what other brunch spots are doing in the city but they should really take some tips from Banter. The service was great and lighting fast. Almost terrifyingly so! The food was on point and reasonable. It's like they found a way to replicate the kitchen ballet of McDonald's but with normal handmade food. I had bacon and egg roll (really a nice sandwich) with a matcha latte and my companion had eggs with halloumi and bacon. Simply delicious! The dining area has a person who just makes sure everyone is happy. If you even glance in her direction, she darts over to help. I really can't say anything other than highly recommended for an easy casual brunch in a beautiful neighborhood.

Such a zen spot to enjoy some hearty breakfast/lunch options. I ordered the Golden Folded Eggs, with a side of Tomato Jam, and my friend opted for the Nutella French Toast. While a tad salty for my liking, the eggs were perfectly cooked, and the mushrooms complimented my dish nicely. It was great to learn that this is an employee owned company, which was definitely reflected in their attentiveness to each customer.

aussie spot 3 min walk from apartment and perf for brunch! Long wait but I jumped on waitlist online and so we only had to wait like 4 min:) getting the 2 eggs any way and putting soft scrambled + adding avo is much cheaper than avo toast and so yum. Banana bread a bit too spiced but sweet potato fries crispy and delishhhh! Great vibes too

This Greenwich Village spot has a charming brunch atmosphere with a lively vibe, though the food was just average. It's perfect for a casual chat with friends, but be sure to join their Yelp waitlist in advance to secure a table as it tends to fill up quickly. We tried their banana bread (a bit heavy on the cinnamon for my taste) and the scrambled eggs with avocado, which is a clever hack--it's more budget-friendly than their avocado toast and includes a protein boost as well.

I went to the West Village location with family members ranging in age from 7 months to 74 years (me)! The atmosphere & service was pleasant & casual. No frilliness to impress....just really good, tasty food which was creatively prepared with very fresh ingredients. The menu seemed a little boring (I enjoy spicy). But, it wasn't boring at all!!!! We ordered the egg bowls and sandwiches and energy drinks. I thought that the eggs would just be a simple omelet with veggies. Far from it! It was swirled eggs surrounded by flavorful chopped greens, cheese, meaty bacon, sourdough bread & avocado. It was a great presentation. Everyone was very satisfied (even the baby)!!! Try it! You'll like this place!

Banter is a great neighborhood breakfast option. The staff is super friendly, quick to greet and even laugh at my bad jokes. The vibes are good too - the music is relaxed, plenty of natural light, nice art on the walls. The food is both very appetizing looking and very tasty. Simple but good and done well. My cortado was a 10, a really nice espresso shot cut with just the right dash of milk and foam. The Nutella French Toast is rich and delicious without being too sweet. The berries and banana are fresh and perfectly ripe and the strawberries just macerated enough. The toasted oat gives a nice crunch and savory touch.

Still one of the best brunches/lunches around. Very popular, so be prepared to wait. They take your phone number and will text you when the table is ready. And try the Banter Big Breakfast!

Stopped in for brunch on a Saturday with the dog the staff was very kind and accommodating. Got the fried chicken sandwich and wanted to love it but unfortunately did not. The bun was stale... the chicken was dry missing sauce or flavor... The sweet potato fries were super salty you can even see in the photo. Hope they fix - a chicken sandwich is a must have and must be top notch.

Hubs and I came here for breakfast and we shared: + Fresh Start Juice (which was not shared): the ginger provided a nice kick which I needed for being sick. + the Nutella Stuffed French Toast + Golden Fold Eggs with a side of Toast: beautiful presentation and nice soft scrambled egg. I'll admit I was a little under the weather on the day we came so I wasn't cheerful at all. I was a little disappointed in the French Toast as it hardly had any Nutella in it (should not call it a "stuffed" french toast). It's very light and tasted like a normal french toast. Nothing out of this world. The restaurant indoor is quite small and the staff was quite chill. All in all, it made for a pleasant breakfast.
